here are some random things that i like:

hunting: togiak has the best seal hunting i've seen. the blue ocean and high rocky cliffs make for a very scenic hunting experience; whittier is one of the best! sea otter are everywhere! seal pop up once in awhile too. if you go up cochrane and blackstone bay far enough, you'll reach the glaciers; nunap has probably the best fly-by duck shooting i know. the yukon-kuskokwim delta is a duck hunters dream- every imaginable water source/way. decoy hunting in nunap is fun.

reading: gq is a great airport purchase; discover magazine- science is very interesting- there's no room for argument in science; cargo magazine has it all- techno gadgets, style pointers, all the new shit; anchorage daily news.

threads: white tees- a must for every guy. i use one every single day. jockey is my preference; carhartts- good hunting and camping gear and all-around bush-living wear. just don't get them wet.

beverages: heineken for beer. stoli for booze. red rose for tea. water or tea for hunting trips.

shoes: i have all kinds. my latest acquisition was a pair of the new duuuuwayne waaaades. basketball, baby; brown leather boots are a must, chukka-style- you can wear them up or down, to the gaslight or to the boardroom; running shoes- though i'm not a runner, i like the comfort of sporty-ass, lightweight kickers; bunny boots are a 8-month-out-of-the-year pair. i believe in the saying 'shoes make the man.'

internet sites: here are some regulars that i check- accuratereloading.com, 24hourcampfire.com, miisaaq1.blogspot.com, humpingisimportant.blogspot.com, adn.com, anchorage.craigslist.com, cnn.com no porn for me-too dirty- keep it clean, baby!

glasses: the kitchen kind. drinking out of a glass makes water and everything else taste better. taste the difference sometime. that's all i drink out of at home. say no to plastic.

eating establishments: kumagoro is a great sushi spot; i really like the humpy burger at humpy's; brewhouse when i'm feelin lively; mike's hotdog stand in downtown ankritz; any friggin restaurant after a long stay in the vill.

simple things: hanging with the boys, cutting up game, laughing at a funny story, and more importantly, making funny stories.
